These terms and conditions concern the online store of hiomakivi.fi and are valid from 28.2.2022. When purchasing at hiomakivi.fi online store, the buyer accepts these terms and conditions.

Purchasing at online store
The shop sells products to businesses and individuals of legal age. After making the order and accepting these terms and conditions, you get a binding order confirmation by e-mail. hiomakivi.fi reserves the right to change prices and terms and conditions case by case.
The buyer is responsible for his/her account and password. In addition, the buyer undertakes to provide the correct information when placing an order.
Ordering by e-mail/telephone
You can also order products by e-mail or telephone. When using these traditional ordering methods, an invoice will be sent by e-mail after the order has been placed, and the products will be delivered upon payment of the invoice. If you prefer, you can also choose the Pick-up delivery method and pay for the goods with a card payment at the time of pick-up.
hiomakivi.fi reserves the right to refuse the order if necessary. In this case, payment will be refunded to the subscriber within 14 days.
Payment is made via the online checkout, and after clicking on the Submit Order button, you will be redirected to the website of the payment method you have chosen.

Delivery and payment methods
Depending on the payment method, a possible payment method cost will be added to the total amount of the order. Any surcharge will be indicated at the checkout.
In the Hiomakivi.fi online shop, all payment connections are protected by SSL encryption. The Verified by Visa service for online payments must be activated when paying with Visa Electron. All credit card payments will be verified, and if the verification fails, hiomakivi.fi reserves the right to refuse the order. Hiomakivi.fi does not store credit card information in its data system, but it is processed and stored in the Credit Union's secure Verified by Visa system.
For online banking payment, you will need the username and password provided by your bank.
The price of a product is the price displayed for the product in the online shop at the time of ordering. Expenses are shown in the shopping cart. In addition, the delivery price of the shopping cart to the selected country will be displayed at checkout.
If the products are shipped outside the EU (European Union), the buyer is responsible for any customs, import, or other charges. Customs clearance procedures vary from country to country. Please contact your local customs office for more information. If customs clearance is required, the buyer is responsible for all associated costs and understands that customs clearance may cause a delay to the original delivery time estimate.
Hiomakivi.fi reserves the right to cancel an order in case of "obvious price errors." A "manifest price error" means a possible pricing error of a product in the online shop, such that the price of the product differs significantly or significantly and obviously from the correct price of the product.
Examples of obvious price errors may include, but are not limited to, the following
- if the product has a price of EUR 0,00 or no price at all
- if a knife worth hundreds of euros is quoted at a price of e.g. €39.90 (comma errors)
In these cases, the incorrect price is so different from the correct price that the customer understands the error.
Hiomakivi.fi processes incoming orders within one working day as a rule. On weekdays, we aim to deliver all orders received by 15:00 on the same day. The customer also has the option to choose delivery by pick-up from hiomakivi.fi's pick-up warehouse in Espoo. In the case of pick-up orders, the customer will receive a confirmation to the e-mail address provided when the order is available for pick-up from the store. Pick-up orders are usually available for collection one working day after the order is placed.
Any exceptions to the delivery schedule are indicated separately on the hiomakivi.fi page.
In Finland, the delivery time for a postal parcel or Matkahuolto Bussipaketti is usually 1-2 working days. The delivery time is 3-8 working days for express parcels abroad. When hiomakivi.fi mails the order, the subscriber will receive a code to the e-mail address to track the order's progress.

We comply with the EU Consumer Sales of Goods Directive. The goods must conform with the contract and meet the general requirements. If a defect appears in the goods within one year of purchase, it is presumed to have been present at delivery time. This does not apply to defects attributed to negligent use or neglect of the product.
RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL
For product returns, we operate by the general regulations that products have a standard 14-day return period, provided that the product is intact and in a condition as new. To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision to withdraw from the contract unambiguously (for example, by e-mail). To comply with the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient to send your notification of the exercise of the right of withdrawal before the expiry of the cancellation period.
Effects of withdrawal
If you cancel this contract, we will refund to you all payments we have received from you, including the delivery costs (except for the additional costs of choosing a delivery method other than the cheapest standard delivery method offered by us), without delay and in any event no later than 14 days after the date on which the products you have returned have reached us. In addition, we will make the return by the payment method you used in the original transaction unless you have expressly agreed otherwise.
You must return the goods without undue delay and no later than 14 days after the notice of withdrawal has been given. The deadline is deemed to have been met if you return the goods before the expiry of the 14 days.
The customer pays the postal charges for the return.
You are only liable for any depreciation in the value of the goods resulting from handling other than that necessary to ascertain the goods' nature, characteristics, and functionality.
An unclaimed parcel is not the same as a return or cancellation. An unclaimed parcel for which no cancellation notice has been given will be charged EUR 14. This amount will be deducted from the refundable balance of the order. This amount corresponds to the actual cost of returning the unclaimed consignment and other handling costs.
MODIFICATION OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Hiomakivi.fi reserves the right to change the online shop, its policies, and the terms and conditions of ordering and delivery at any time. If the terms and conditions are changed, Hiomakivi.fi will announce the change on the front page of the online shop. The amended terms and conditions shall apply to orders placed after the change has been announced on the homepage of the online shop.
hiomakivi.fi shall not be liable for any delay or damage caused by an event beyond its control that it could not reasonably foresee or the consequences it cannot avoid. Such force majeure includes, for example, the withdrawal or discontinuation of a product from a supplier or manufacturer, disruption of transport, subcontractors, equipment, software, browser or network connection, fire, industrial action, war, natural disasters, intervention by public authorities.
Hiomakivi.fi shall not be liable for consequential damages unless caused by willful misconduct or gross negligence.
Applicable law and possible disputes
These terms and conditions are made respecting Finnish law. Unless resolved by negotiations between parties, disputes between seller and buyer are resolved in a local court near the seller.
If negotiations between parties cannot resolve disputes, the matter can be referred to The Consumer Disputes Board (http://www.kuluttajariita.fi/en/).
