The Naniwa PA Flattening Stone is made of Pink Aluminum Oxide. Pink Aluminum Oxide is more durable than more familiar White Aluminum Oxide. Naniwa was looking for a larger size for flattening stone to replace the original #220 and created this hard-wearing, long-lasting stone that retains its shape better than many competitors.
