Naniwa Junpaku 8000 is better known as Snow White. This stone is one of the most popular stones in Naniwa. Unfortunately, it was taken out of production once before but came back as a renewed stone.
Snow White is a soaking stone but doesn't seem thirsty. So I could take my first test drive with just a short watering.
The stone is surprisingly effective and leaves an insanely high-quality finish. You can tell the difference from many other stones when you hold it in your hand for the first time; the feel is so good.

The best results with Naniwa Snow White 8000 I get in final step sharping of the CTS-XHP steel knife. However, my experience is too short.

I've only tested this stone once.. but it felt amazing and you feel the difference on this stone from the other grids. super product

Just fantastic. Used to have 3000 as highest grit, Snow White took sharpness to new level. I'm using Japanese high end knives.

Great stone. I use it for straight razors pre-finishing and for knife finishing. In my opinion, as a finisher, it's better (it's a pleasure to use, it's quite fast and give a really nice finish) than other stones with higher grit (ex Naniwa superstone 10K/12K). But is my personal feeling.
