The board can be washed in a dishwasher. You can use bleach, but do not soak in bleach for long periods. Use e.g. a root brush for cleaning.

I would do more research before getting this board. It took some time to adjust with the grip it has on the food. I would also recommend fellow potential buyer to consider larger size as it is actually too small for my preference.

I simply have no words for the feeling you'll have when you first try a Hasegawa.. there's nothing like it if you've been using normal cutting boards.. and you'll never want to use other boards again. its simply that amazing!
