Angle guide 15° / 20° – a simple tool to answer the question: what does 15° actually look like?
This model features the two most commonly used angles: 15° and 20°. Place the guide under the knife edge on the whetstone, and you will immediately see what the correct angle looks like. Once your eye learns the angle, sharpening becomes much easier and more consistent.
It’s a small tool, but the impact on the final result is significant—especially in the beginning. For more experienced sharpeners, it also works as a quick reference without any measuring.
When the angle stays consistent from stroke to stroke, a sharp edge will follow.
This guide is not intended to be used during sharpening, but to eliminate guesswork before you start.
