Asahi cutting boards are high-quality, Japanese-made boards that combine synthetic rubber and wood pulp to create a durable and flexible surface. PLEASE NOTE!

ASAHI board may become deformed if placed near a flame. Do not use or store at temperatures over 90 °C or below -30 °C. Board may become warped or deformed if weighted down for extended periods at high temperatures. If this happens; Heat the board to around 80 °C, lay on a flat surface, place a heavy object on top and allow it to cool. Do not store board at an angle. Stand it up straight. Do not wash in the dishwasher. You can use bleach, but do not soak in bleach for extended periods. Use a heavy nylon brush for cleaning; for maintenance, sandpaper can be used.

I am very happy of my purchase: the Parker Asahi Pro cutting board in combination with Nakiri A-30 from Ryda Knives. I decided to cut the board in two, so now I have a 500x330mm and a smaller one around 250x330 (althought if my kitchen was bigger I would probably keep it as it was. The board is very stable and does not slide easily as wooden board would do. It is much heavier then the same size wooden one. The feeling of cutting on Asahi Pro board is a bit different: the board has a better grip with the food (products) you are cutting, the knive does not bounce as much as some reviews describe it and it's a bit quieter then the wooden onece. The knives does leave some minor scratches on the boards surface. Yes there will be some stains on the board if you leave a product or a cooked meet (for example) on it for a longer period of time, but it does not affect the functionality of the board and the smells are easily washed off. Overall I really enjoy the Parker ASAHI Board
