The so-called consumer version of Asahi differs slightly from the Asahi Pro board. The synthetic matte rubber is a tad softer, retaining the same top-notch cutting feel. The board doesn't absorb color, and the surface can be rejuvenated hundreds of times with sandpaper.

I got these boards in autumn 2023, and they've become one of our family's favorites. The board is light and flexible. Initially, I was worried it might bend or warp with use, but not at all. These boards have been in constant use in two households, washed in the washing machine hundreds of times without any issues. I've noticed that even the smallest S-sized board has become a favorite among the family's younger members. This board surpasses the traditional few-euro white plastic board by miles, as its feel, durability, hygiene, and appearance are just so much ahead of the old household staple. Now is probably the right time to switch to a higher-quality board.

PLEASE NOTE!

ASAHI board may become deformed if placed near a flame. Do not use or store at temperatures over 90 °C or below -30 °C. Board may become warped or deformed if weighted down for extended periods at high temperatures. If this happens; Heat the board to around 80 °C, lay on a flat surface, place a heavy object on top and allow it to cool. Do not store board at an angle. Stand it up straight. Do not wash in the dishwasher. You can use bleach, but do not soak in bleach for extended periods. Use a heavy nylon brush for cleaning; for maintenance, sandpaper can be used.
