Super stone

In my experience, this is the best finishing stone for my Aogami Super carbon nakiri

Now this is also a "famous" stone, isn't it? :) Yes, it's very good indeed. Great for finishing the sharpest edges with a polish. For my knife used mainly for vegetables like tomatoes I finish the sharpening process with this 5000 (or maybe with a 4000) grit. I need some "serration" for that knife to easily catch into the skin of the tomato. But this is how I prefer to do it.

Excellent stone to finish coming from a 1000 or 2000 grit. Used on western knives. It does not provide a mirror polish - if you want that, you might consider a king 6000 for example. Otherwise it has great speed, feedback and is a softer stone.

Good

Soaking is definitely worthwhile and gets better with each use. Creamy feeling, very good speed. For me a perfect combination: ShaptonPro 1k (basic grinding) and Rika 5k (for finishing or touch-ups). Testing with Shirogami, Aogami (super) and many other steels between 61-67 HRC.
This series of stone, Cerax, Ouka and Rike is my most recomended stones, if you have time to wait for the soak them. They are very smooth to work with, gives a good feedback. These three stones are my most used stones. If you don't have time to soak them for 20 minutes, i would look for Naniwa Chosera or Morihei stones instead.
